Child-mothers in their second year of SOC: Transformational Program got together and begun an initiative that would contribute to the elderly in the community. Due to the scourge of HIV, other diseases and crippling poverty, this community has a large population of nearly destitute senior citizens raising their grandchildren. Many child-mothers can relate to this predicament. Some have grown up under similar circumstances and all of them know someone elderly in their village in this situation.
